Dr. Scott Penney

Family + Pediatric Chiropractor

I experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care after suffering an injury playing high school baseball. After being confined to laying in only one comfortable position for several days, chiropractic care helped me return to the field and compete in 4 sports for the remainder of my high school years. That experience helped develop a desire and a drive to help others suffering with an injury through specific and personalized chiropractic care.

My desire to train and expand my expertise into Pediatric Chiropractic was spurred by the results I have seen within my own family. Watching the birth of my 4 children and witnessing them grow and thrive through the help of Pediatric Chiropractic Care and a healthy lifestyle has driven me to spread that knowledge throughout our community. Our bodies were built a created to be healthy, and I want to help as many families as possible experience a life full of health and vitality.

Outside of work, I love spending time with Hollie and our 4 children Addilyn, Reagan, Amelia, and Jack. We love playing and watching all their sports and activities. If I have any free time outside of family activities, I enjoy hunting and fishing, as well as following the Iowa Hawkeyes, Vikings, Twins and Wild.

Pediatric + Prenatal (Webster Certified) + Family Chiropractor

Growing up in northern Wisconsin (GO PACK GO!), our community chiropractor instilled in us to perform your best you needed a well-functioning nervous system, so our entire family went to the chiropractor. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh while also competing on the cross country and track teams. Dealing with a chronic injury that never seemed to subside, my path quickly brought me back to chiropractic. Seeing the results I had after years of injury lead me to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport IA.

In chiropractic school, you learn many aspects of how to deliver chiropractic care. To me, it made the most sense to use as many tools as possible to help me get to the root cause of an individual’s health challenge. I would want that for my family, so why wouldn’t I deliver the best and gather the most information to help others.

While in chiropractic school, I met Dr. Scott. His persistence, wittiness and charm stole my heart away. Together we opened Triumph Chiropractic (formerly Penney Family Chiropractic) in 2014 and have added 4 children to our family! Being a mom is truly an incredible gift God has blessed me with. Navigating our pregnancies (each very different) and caring for our kids is what drove me to bring pediatric and prenatal care to our office. I want every family to experience the incredible healing power God has given us. I am on a mission to inspire families to view health in a different light. Instead of waiting for illness to arise, imagine creating a foundation of health right from birth. I am your biggest advocate and am here to serve and support you and your family’s health journey!

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with our 4 kids (3 girls and a boy). From watching them compete on the softball field to the basketball court and the wrestling mat, the joy that dancing and singing bring them, and the wonder of being outside. We enjoy heading to the lake to fish and swim and curling up on the living room floor to watch a movie and have a pizza picnic.
